iPhone 14: see comparison with Android phones

Apple released  the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro  this Wednesday (7). Now, the device joins the hall of powerful phones of 2022, making the comparison with  Android smartphones inevitable .

The Verge website  has made a comparison of Apple’s new phones with the  OnePlus  10T, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and Google Pixel 6 Pro . These are currently the most popular top-of-the-line Android devices among users, allowing for a more frank comparison.

The  first point is the price . While the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro start at $799 and $999, respectively, the OnePlus 10T was cheaper at launch at $649.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro came in between the two at $899, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra was more expensive at $1,199. It is worth remembering that taxes are added later in the United States, and that the value of Android devices tends to fall faster than iPhones.

Processor and operating system

Another point is the processor. The  iPhone 14 has the A15 Bionic , while the Plus model uses the A16 Bionic. The OnePlus 10T and Galaxy S22 Ultra feature the  Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1  and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, respectively, which are Qualcomm’s most powerful solutions. The Pixel 6 Pro has the Tensor Chip, made by Google itself.

When it comes to operating system, the new iPhones already arrive with  iOS 16 . All Android devices except the Pixel 6 Pro have Android 12. Google’s phone already uses the most up-to-date operating system, Android 13. The screens are similar in size, ranging from 6.1 to 6.9 inches.

And the cameras?

For those who want quality photos and videos,  Apple devices  end up losing in “brute force”. The iPhone 14 has a 12-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide, betting on post-processing technologies to fight with competitors.

OnePlus offers a 48-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. On the front, are the same 12 megapixels. Google’s phone loses out in the selfie sensor, which has 11.1 megapixels, but bets on a 50 MP main solution at the rear.

Finally, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a powerful set of cameras. Led by a 108 megapixel sensor, the mobile still has auxiliary solutions of 12 megapixel ultrawide and 10 megapixel telephoto. On the front, the selfie camera is 40 megapixels.
